Martin W. Brook - Consultant

I am a consultant food technologist with over 30 years experience in the fields of food manufacturing, safety and quality systems with a technical and common sense approach to trouble shooting. I am a specialist in food ingredients, both sourcing and innovation, in particular from the Mediterranean. I have extensive UK and international experience in factory auditing and am a lead assessor. I am also a SALSA auditor and mentor and have knowledge of the BRC and ISO 9001 standards.

The industries I have worked in are:

  • Flour milling and baking
  • Soft drinks
  • Food flavourings
  • Speciality gluten free and low protein products
  • Ingredients ranging from ambient stable to high care

Whilst having a broad range of food industry knowledge, I also have access to a network of consultants both from industry and academia who specialise in different fields so should a project require additional expertise, then this can be resourced.
My partner has 25 years experience in the food industry and has excellent knowledge of quality systems both documentation and implementation.

We can also conduct HACCP reviews and implementation.
